Whats the best way to mount a p-p or talon to a Detwiler jp? Ive seen the sandwich bracket between the motor and jp. But someone told me he thought they made adaptor plates that would fit and mount to the side of the jackplate toward the front of the jackplate (non-moving part of the jackplate). My jackplate does not holes in this location, but he thought it was ok to drill them in the jackplate. Any pros/cons to doing it either way….assuming you can actually drill the jackplate and mount an adaptor plate to the side of it.
