Power requirements

I’m getting a low voltage massage on my graph at the dash, Helix 10, 12.3 – 12.4 V. The question is what’s the power requirement for the graph. The cranking battery is about 2 years old, I’m thinking that’s my problem!

Doesn’t seem low to me. I get lower than that all the time. My solution was to lower the alarm threshold on my graphs, though not Humminbird.

See what your graph alarm is set at. If it is 13.8 to 14.2 volts, you will almost never see that without the engine running. Anything over 12 is fine. 12.3 – 12.4 is ok. Maybe a new battery will show 12.5-12.6

Yes if you must have the low voltage alarm on then set it to a “low voltage state” some where around 11

There is voltage loss between the battery and the graph. It is not a true reading. If you want an exact reading, take a voltmeter with you on the water and measure at the battery terminals. If you are certain that your battery is good, then adjust your alarm as suggested above and be certain that your graphs are on their own circuit and not powered through the boat’s harness.

I want to thank all of you for the knowledgeable inputs! Long and short of it is, battery needed replaced, running good. Now I got a Mercury warning alarm at the dash! A lot of shit floating in the lake, I’m sure something got sucked in the engine some how!!

We suggest a copper washer on both positive and negative posts, place hem on the bottom below all connections.

Thanks for the input, but, like I said, I had the cranking battery replaced, Pro Guide series 31 AGM, working well! The only issue is a Mercury alarm going off which I’m thinking is a trash issue floating around the lake that got into the motor, otherwise, it’s great!
