I have the Pro-Pak 3 charger in my 2006 P-4 and up until this weekend have not had any trouble with this unit. Im getting things ready for my next tournament and go to plug in my batteries to top off and notice that the number 3 bank on the charger is blinking RED – GREEN, RED – GREEN so I pull out the book and check everything that it is telling me. Batteries are 1 month old so I even check to see if I have any dead cells, which I shouldnt since they are only 1 month old. I dont, so I check for tight connections,and for correct connections. Take leads off and brush , they are not dirty are corroded but do antway. Reconnect everything and plug back in and get the RED – GREEN, RED – GREEN lights still. So at this point should I assume that there is a charger problem are is there another test that I can do ? Battery 1 & 2 are showing solid GREEN lights. Any suggestions will be most appreciated.

switch the leads that are blinking to one of the other batts. and if it follows, you may need to do a load test on batt. Even some new batts can have problems. Other than that, you can call company that charger is from. They can trouble shoot it for you from phone with any ideas they may have what is wrong. Good luck. pant 2 Bob

That same thing happened to me a couple of weeks (remember Bob?). It was a bad battery. The battery wasnt new but it wasnt old either. Do what Bob suggested, I bet you its the battery.

Thanks guys for the assistance. I have taken both batteries back and had them checked. Both check out fine. Put them back in and started cleaning all contacts and connections. Plugged charger back in and same thing again. RED – GREEN alternately flashing. After reading the book I find out that there is a 3 year warranty on the charger. Only had it 2 years 2 months, So I have taken it out and prepairing to send it back, only to find out that the registration card hasnt been filled out and sent to Pro-Pak. (CUL M RITE) I took it for granted that this was done buy my dealer are whoever did the installation. I will be contacting Pro Pak today so I guess Ill find out if Im still good with the warranty.

Thanks BCB, I figured as much but didnt want to take for granite. I have placed a call to them for the authorization number to return it and Im just waiting for them to get back with me. Thanks Again for all that you guys do for THE FAMILY
