I have a 07 Sabre bought 11/07 I have no prior experience with onboard chargers, mine is the pro pak III, I was charging the batteries and banks 2&3 go green in just a few minutes and bank 1 stays red for hours without turning green. Is this normal? batteries are flooded cell continental that came with the boat. Will banks 2&3 shut off while #1 is charging? I finally got to get out on the water for a couple of hours, got home plugged it in and the same thing. John

Sab, Go to Advanced Fishing technologies website @ http://www.propakchargers.com and either e-mail or call Rick Stanfield. He helped me when I was having difficultys with a Pro-Pak III; it happened to be a bad battery as well as a bad circuit; Huis service is excellent and he is very willing to assist with a diagnosis. Hope this helps- Don

Bank #1 is normally your cranking battery while #2 & #3 are trolling batteries. There is a lot more drain on the cranking battery than you think and yes this is normal. Judd Lasiter

thanks for the info. I looked up pro paks website & referred to the troubleshooting guide, then left it plugged in much longer & “all green”. I feel more confident with the charger after reading how it is designed. thanks guys, John
