I was wondering what type of small diameter polishing pad that I could attach to a cordless drill that would be safe to use in trying to remove some fine scratches in the gel coat most likely from wiping the boat down each time after taking it out of the water. I want to try the Nu paint from protec. I bought the big kit, but it did not have the Nu paint included. I will order it soon if that is what you would suggest. Will it work on the windshields also???? The boat is a 2011 Cougar.Ive been on a mission with our long COLD Winter up here cleaning up stuff. Had a used car dealer friend of mine show me how to polish up my black 07 Chevy. He suggested I use a Mequires #80 speed glaze, and then follow up with a sealant. Man, all I can say is it looks like a new truck now. I did end up with some swirls, but not too bad though. Mostly asking if there are any pitfalls to watch out for.
