Problem with Lowrance 520C?

Im having an issue with my console (lowrance 520c) unit turning off and on when i start up the big motor in between fishing spots. Its very annoying having to wait for it to boot up and clearing all the alarms and such everytime i start the motor. Any ideas on why this is happening?

Yes, you have either a voltage or connection issue which is allowing a drop in voltage.

when starting the big motor the voltage is dropping below 9 volts. causing the unit to shut down. you may need to run seperate wiring with an inline fuse and a toggle switch for each unit. I had the same problem and when I did this it fixed the problem.
