Problems with bp-101

I have experienced problems with my aerator automatically coming on with out the button being pushed on BP-101 Super dash. over last few months when it would come on i was able to turn it off with button on dash but i cant now. I have to turn the master power switch off,to stop it.Has anyone experienced this problem? I have a 2000 Bass Cat Pantera 3.. Also with all buttons on bottom including horn arent working at all. That is a ground issue usually. It is not usually the horn, though somewhere a connection that is causing a back feed. We would have to see if there were anything we could do to help, though most opt for a touch pad and gauge replacement. In your case it is a matter of your opinion and wishes. BCB

Earlier this year I experienced the EXACT same symptoms with my BP-101 in my 01 P-III.Checked all of my connections, cleaned the cannon plug on the dash feed with dielectric grease, replaced circuit breakers, tightened/cleaned connections at the terminal block, etc!!!It would work fine for a day, then go blank on me the next day (no touch pad functionality, aerator coming on by itself and cant turn off).I threw in the towel and did the analog dash/gauge replacement thing.Also added the boat alarm and two extra gauges supplied by BC at additionnal cost.Im happy with the retro-fit, but wish I had gotten white faced instead of black faced instrument gauges.Thank goodness that nightmare is over as it pretty much rendered my boat useless (no aerator) and unsafe (no bilge pump, no bow/stern lights)!Good luck, and I hope its just a bad ground wire for you!

What do you suggest doing to solve this issue,look for a ground problem where to start?

Read the second sentence in my reply above!Check terminal block connections (mounted on the left side of your transom where all the wires connect), unscrew the cannon plug on the back of your BP101 unit and apply some dielectric grease to the pins, check all of your battery connections to ensure there is no corrosion, etc.Start diggin!

Checked all of that ,is there any possible way to check the inside of the bp-101 for moisture and spray it with contact cleaner or silicone spray. I really think it is a moisture problem in the Omega bp101dash. I checked evervything else its all good. What do you suggest Bass Cat Expert!

It is seldom inside the unit. Check everything Else first.
