Good Morning Bass Cat Lovers I am having problems with my steering on my 2003 Sabre with a 150 VMax . It steered hard when I bought it new but now I can hardley turn it. I have greesed it and even tried WD40.HELPThanks Jack Proctor
WD 40 wont work on cables. If they were greased and they did not improve then you very probably have a broken or kinked cable somewhere. Only solution is probably new cables or drop the money for a hydraulic system. Im not so sure you really need it though on a small engine. I replaced cables once on a boat and it was dual cables and it was about $600 if memory serves me correctly. Good luck.-Jason
Thanks for the info. They must have been kinked when I bought the boat ,they just keep getting harder to drive.I have have owned 8 other boats and none of them drove this hard.GOOD LUCK THIS YEAR Thanks Jack
proctorplus, contact BCB Parts for service and the cables. Give them the purchase history and they will determine if they can slip you a little help there. BCB
