I have a 97 PII 150 ERUDE FITCH manual plate 60 GPS with 2 people. 24 Raker. Real good hole shot. My prop needs repaired can you help? Do you suggest a 23 or 24. Thanks for your time. 5300-5350 WOTLast edited by White River Cat on November 18th, 2007, 3:10 am, edited 1 time in total.

At 4500 you should probably go down to a 23 Trophy, or a Tempest. Depending on the engine which one. EFI or Opti?BCB

If it is a 2.5 EFI, then we would suggest a 23 Tempest.If this is a 3.0 EFI then a 24 Tempest should do the trick. You may want to remove a couple of the PVS stock plug holes. Not all three from our experience. BCB

Its the 2.5 EFI, I have a 25 Tempest and I was told to remove the plug for a little better hole shot, well It would even plane out. It just slipped, so I put it back in and it was fine. Ok thanks I will find me a 23 Tempest for it. Also well this give me more RPMs, is it normal to run 5200? I was thinking around 5700 or so, am I close?

Going down in pitch will bring you RPMs up. Rule of thumb is about 300 per pitch. Going down to a 23 should put you around 5700 RPMs. Good LuckJoey

David, You might want to try a 22-23p four blade. My suggestion would be a good 22p, which i ran on my old PII with a 150 magII, and would run low to mid sixties, with a great holeshot. As far as a local shop, most around here use Port City, Ft.Smith, which H2O can send off for you. I am using The Prop Shop in Lafayette,La. on my prop now, and deal with Ronnie there. I RAN A 23 RENEGADE ON A 92 PANTERA 11 WITH A 150 JOHNSON…IT WAS BY FAR THE BEST PROP….ROBIN

Thanks for the input guys. I may just get my ding fixed. 60 aint bad for a 10 year old boat I dont think. And may be sorry I ever started messin with it. It runs good now.BUT
