Trashed my original 150 non ho etec, repowering with a Gen 1 HO. My old motor ran a 24″ Raker HO but would only pull 5200 rpms. I know the new motor should turn it faster but is this generally the best choice or should experiment with Merc prop first and if so which one? Thanks.
Personally , Id stay with the 24 Raker , which was quite a prop in its day . — They always worked really well on the Rudes . — Start there and then adjust if needed . — New motor should make a bunch more power . — Just watch the max revs .
