i know absolutely nothing about props, so anyone with insight they dont mind sharing would be appreciated. i got a buddy with a prop that came on his 17 skeeter with yamaha vmax 150. he immediately upgraded to a four blade, and kept the three blade as his spare. several years back, though, he sold the boat and motor (with four blade prop), but he had held on to the original stainless 3-blade prop that came with the boat/motor. he also has two thrust washers and prop nut & spacer kits that fit the prop. this prop is absolutely flawless, without a single nick on the blades. (it has a slight carbon marking on the inside, so it might have been run very little before the swapout.) it has a 25-M stamped on the shaft. (does that mean its a 25 pitch ?)my questions are this…..what would this prop be worth today ? am i correct in assuming that it will fit my 2001 yammy vmax 150 ? is this prop (pitch) suitable for my 2002 sabre ?hes saying the “new” value on this prop with the extra spacers and nut kits is in the $700 range. that seems high to me (although the two sets of extras seem to be worth about $150 after looking up on line [$75 each set] )we are discussing a trade for a handful of shimano reels in like-new condition (a curado 200B, 2 citicas 200B, and a calcutta 100), but first want to make sure prop will fit my motor, its a good pitch for my boat, and its worth the $400-$450 in reels ill be giving up. will be grateful for any help from my basscat brethren !!!!
