Prop Issue on a P2

I have a 2008 P2 came with Yamaha VMAX 200 on it. Awesome set up! I run an M25 prop on it and man is it fast! Runnin lower 70s at 5400-5800 RPM/WOT. The problem is I have sheared an ear off of 2 different props….does it sound like the engine is setting to high on the jackplate? And NO I did not hit anything. Both times it happened on a long run. Any ideas?

Sounds like it might be a tad bit high, if you are dropping blades. Do you have any steering torque? That engine like a Tempest also on that set up, and you might try a Fury. Both have a little more meat than a 25M, though if you are too high, then drop it and try the 25M first. BCB

Recently picked up a Mirage 25 pitch…will try it out today! Maybe a little torque but not much at all!

It is not expected to run well on your P2.
