Got my new to me Puma almost a year ago…Ive been playing with motor height, trying to find the sweet spot for my 225 optimax and 25P Fury. At flush I notice she jumps out if the water like a rocket but at WOT and trimmed out seems to be right at the rev limiter. Dropped the motor a tad and she still blasts off great and seemed to pick up top speed and overall performance while dropping the RPMs under the rev limiter. My question is if I go to a 26P prop, raise the motor back up, I should be able to stay off the rev limiter and pick up speed while keeping a good blastoff right? Does that make since? After a year I think Ive got the hang of adjusting the trim to get optimum performance. Off course this has been on an empty livewell as I dont fish many tournaments.
