I am currently running a 25p Fury and very happy. Good hole shot regardless of load or passengers. Top speed seems like it will be good if I get a chance to let it stretch out. I have not really had it wound out. Lake where I have been going has a 50mph speed limit on it. I have hit 65mph turning about 5300 to 5400 rpm. I have not had an open stretch where I could get that extra 5 to 6mph but I do think it is there. It jumps up there pretty quick especially considering the temps are hot, mid 90s for highs. My question is what should I look for in a backup/second prop? Tempest plus? Trophy Plus? Something else?? This Fall & Winter will I be able to turn a bigger prop? Just curious what other P2 owners are running. Like I said the Fury is doing pretty good.Dan
I run a 25P Fury on my 2012, and have seen 72 and change. Hole shot is outstanding. Ive read many guys saying they run a 26P Fury year round and it gives more top end. I assume you could probably turn one year round depending on what your typical load is…
My 2013 is about the same. Though I feel mine is slow to reach 71 – 72 mark. Though I dnt push it often. I run a very light load. I personally think the 25 fury is best all around. Though I am gna try a 26 this fall ( a loaner) . Before making any assessment.2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury

Actually every time I exceed 50mph I am breaking the law. Also interested in handling characteristics, etc. I have a 23p High Five I bought from another Cat owner here on the board. I have not run it yet but I am curious to see how it changes the attitude of the boat. Probably doing too much thinking, but I am wondering if a Trophy Plus might give me better handling without loosing too much on top end. Dan
2015 P2, 200 Pro XS, 25 Tempest plus. Light load, one Talon, have seen 71, although I rarely run WOT. Superb holeshot, good lift, and lots of water presssure. Fast enough for me.
