Prop options for a PUMA

Year model boat and motor?Even today its my opinion that Trophy props are faster on top end than a Fury, but the drawback is hole shot and acceleration. What are your rpms at 75 and is holeshot acceptable. Any blowout as it breaks over on plane? In addition, please be aware that all my props get tuned up by a specialist in props…..Ronnie Gilbert in Louisiana. As far as Tempest props I was never able to make them run worth a crap on a Puma, Puma FTD, or Cougar FTD. Different story on P2s and other 19 footers.

My guess is you have some prop slip that can be improved. Raise the engine until you have too much torque at the wheel or you have excessive cavitation coming out of the hole. If that doesnt work then try lowering the engine. If that doesnt work……..have the prop tuned up. Ill guarantee that will work some.
