Hello fellow basscat owners,I have a “94” PII twin console model.Have original custom build sheet with this boat .This boat was originally equipped with a mariner 200 efi. This also has a power lift jack plate with a 6″ back set that was original on this boatDo not know what prop this engine had on it,as i bought this boat locally from a dealer used and the engine was blown with no prop on it.Took this engine off,and installed a 2001 mercury 200 efi on this boat.Having problems figuring out what pitch prop should be used with this combo.Right now it has a 23 pitch mirage, which has decent take off to get her up on plane with not a lot of weight in the boat(2 people). Also have a 25 pitch older SS mercury prop. This prop seems way too much to get her up on plane.I pretty sure this boat weighs around 1300 lbs, motor 420lbs,onboard battery charger 30 to 40 lbs,3 batteries in back190lbs,2 gas tanks in back guessing weighs loaded with fuel around 400 to 500 lbs. I dont usually carry both tanks full of fuel.Have both tanks setup to drain equally.Usually half a tank in each tank.Just seems like too much weight in the back of this boat.I dont know if this is contributing to the problem of getting this boat up on plane or not,but every once in a while it takes a little longer getting this boat up on plane.Any help with this setup would be appreciated.Ive seen a lot of these boats in the same yr,run 23 trophy plus props on there setups.I dont know if the mirage is holding me back from getting up on plane as im not too familiar with this prop. What im looking for is a heavier load with faster plane-ability.Not so much worried about top speed. Any help with this would be appreciated!! I love my basscat!!!!Last edited by gc1426 on July 15th, 2010, 1:15 am, edited 1 time in total.
