What are you running now and how many RPMs are you turning at wide open throttle. Good Luck Joey
running a 27 tempest plus. at about 5600 i think….not positive on that though. motor is a 200 EFI 3.0
joey the jigs are working great by the way. have caught several 5lbs and one 7 on the green and white one.
LOL, what can I say Brandon. Does not get much better than that. Glad they are working for you. How are they holding up as far as durability. Ley me know if you need anymore or there is anything else I can do to help. Should have my swim jig and flipping jig going by the end of next week. Have all my supplies coming in as we speak. As for your prop. Sounds like you are turning a big wheel right now but have always heard that 3 liter is a beast. Also sounds like a 26 Trophy would be just the ticket for your set up. Should be able to jump out of the hole with it and should be just the ticket for pulling skiers. Sure Bass Cat or somebody else will come along shortly and give you their recommendation. Take Care and Good Luck Joey PS: Brandon, is the Green and White you are talking about the special color I ordered for you. Just curious !!!!
so far they are holding up great. the orange one has been working great too. yeah the green one is the one you special ordered. let me know when you do get the swimming jigs going. i will def. buy a few of them as well.
Thanks Brandon, always good to hear good things about something you are makng and selling. Even better when somebody is catching good fish on them and sounds like you are. The swim jig will be a good looking jig Brandon. I am putting eyes on it with a good clear coat finish over the top. Just like all my jigs, should be able to do it in any color you want and will also be hand tied. Will shoot you an email next week once I get everything going and ready. Good Luck
im buying a new prop to do ski and tube with, does anyone have any recomendations? its going on an 05 P IV. im not sure how low of a pitch to go with
Heres a link to the 7 page discussion over on BBC, when I had my 200HO I ran a Fury and liked it a lot. :http://www.bbcboards.net/evinrude-johns … stion.html
Man I just re – read that whole thread . Not a lot of helpful info more early on frustrations than anything . I believe most have settled on a 27 fury . I run a 27 fury with 1 large pvs plug or a 27 razor 3 with decent results . I have never recovered L2 magic but she will run with them . Do some searching Im sure you will find some good threads from guys that know better than I do . Oh and I am pretty sure you have a few mph to be had . Do you know what your higher prop – pad setting was ?Last edited by madgaffer on October 8th, 2013, 1:13 am, edited 1 time in total.
Just too much turbulence from SLE. Dont waste a ton of $. To go fast youd have to buy a different lower unit. Stay on 27 fury and go catch em. 75 is fine. Got a better holeshot than an L2 and the holeshot is more useful anyway.C.O.D. Jr. III
Thanks for all the input. I bought this boat set up this way and it really does well all things considered. It had the larger gearcase on it when I got it, so I really dont miss what it once was. I think I will try to find a 27 Fury and use my Tempest as a back up. Has anybody done any experimenting with the Power Tech RKR 3?
