Im looking to buy a new prop and have my Tempest as a spare. I have a 2013 P11 with a 200 XS and a hydro JP. It came with a 25 Tempest but Im curious about switching to a 25 or even a 26 Fury. Anyone with experience with these combos on a PII / XS 200 please let me know how they perform. FYI @ 6 hours (breaking confirmed complete) on motor Im running 71 @ WOT in Alabama summer temps/humidity. Please help.
I have a 2011 PII with a 200 XS. I started with a 24 Fury but was hitting the rev limit. I went to a 25 Fury. By myself, I have hit 72.5 mph with a medium load. I am sure I could do a little better if I tried. The hole shot is excellent with the 25 Fury. With two guys, equipment, 1/2 fuel, no water in the wells I have hit 70.0.
With the hyd plate, you should be able to turn the 26 Fury w/o any problem. The 26 performs fine even in the hot AL summers. If you come to the SEBCOG, you can run mine to see if you like it.

What motor height and and RPMs. Your setup sounds like GCHaglers PII/200 ProXS and it was a beastly setup.
Had a PII last yr with a 26 fury and std jp and personal best was 76.2mph(very light) but regular speeds of 74 alone/ 70 loaded with 2 peep. NP turning that wheel with a hydro jp IMO
I ended-up with a 25 Trophy on my P-2. Seemed perfect for all around performance.
Dang I have a 2011 PII 200 Pro XS with standard plate and cannot get above 71mph by myself full gas no water in well. I am running a 26 Fury that was balance and blue printed. I had the same results with my 25 Tempest but kept hitting limiter and switched to the Fury. I have dual PP and dual console with medium to heavy load. Add a patner and drop to 68 mph with wells full. Man I would like to see 74 mph one day!
Some are a few mph faster than others. Yours runs about like mine. 25 Fury
26 Fury 3 1/2 – 3 3/4 inches below the pad:This past Sunday: 73.4 mph at 5750 rpms, solo, > 3/4 tank of fuel, air temp 92/water temp 85.Winter time picks up 2-3 mph depending on conditions.Have seen 74.6 with a 25 Tempest all over the rev limiter in the winter w/2 people and full tank of fuel. One observation: it seems that when the motor is set at the correct height, it runs within 1-3 mph of capacity w/o any steering corrections. The last few mph are where corrections for chine walking seem to be. Instead of chasing the rabbit, I like for the handling to be smooth until the last little bit, especially with a teen age driver. He has been allowed up to 60 with the right conditions–no boat traffic, zero or very light chop, dad on the center step with a death grip on the oh s*&^ handle, and dads right hand on the key. Have run a 25 Tempest, 25 Fury (will be selling in the next week or so) and a 26 Fury. The BEST prop is the one that suits you and your style. Loved the 25 Tempest. Could not see a big difference in the 25 Fury vs the 26 Fury.
BJ, That number(76.2) was in January and1/4 tank and no equip, single console. I noticed that my PII was fairly weight sensitive running better when loaded as much as possible to rear. Also has 24v TM so maybe one less batt than others. She was fun to run though!!
