Just wanted to say hi. I have enjoyed reading all the good information on this site. I just bought a 2011 Puma FTD with 250 optimax. Ive only had it out once and didnt get to play with it much. It is pretty much loaded out with power poles, Humminbird electronics, 101 TM. My wife doesnt like fast. And 40 is fast for her. So we caught a few bream and I put it in the garage. Then I left for work, 5 weeks. And Its killing me. So I have been scouring these posts to get by until I can get it back on the water. I cant wait to stretch her out a little. Im thinking it will be a little quicker than my old Ranger R82 with 150 merc. Which I still own. Anyway, I will continue reading and hopefully this last week will go by fast. I will post some pics as soon as I can figure out how. Happy fishing,Bobby

Congrats on new ride. I team fish with my wife and she loves 70mph no console…so I love her too. Its been over a year for us getting wet. Another few months and well get back to slapping the waves. I too read these posts to help keep up the spirit see some of the new rides people post. Have fun with her…..You can eat bream?

Welcome to the family!! Get some pics up of the new rig when you can. The more you useThe boat the more you will love it. I too came from a ranger R82. I went to a older model Jag and now a new Eyra. There is no comparison. Take your time and learn to drive it. I leave in a week for work. 6 weeks! So I live on this site when I can! Enjoy!

Congratulations on the new to you Cat. Im on my third, a 2012 Cougar FTD w/Merc. 250 Pro XS. BasCat makes great boats. Customer Service second to none!

Thanks guys, I am really looking forward to taking the boat out and learning it. I will definitely take it easy and get comfortable before pushing it any. Im not exactly a youngster anymore. The boat has a little history with it. It won the 2015 Costa Bassmaster Highschool National Championship. Those Louisiana boys did great. And what a fine young man and family they are. Basjax: Naw, we dont eat those things down south. Lol

Only joking about the bream. We only kept a few of the bigger ones and they were dinner for me and my wife. I prefer bass fishing, my wife loves to watch a cork go under. Sometimes I combine the two. The power poles were high on my wish list for my new boat. I never had the opportunity to try them before, but they really make bream fishing much more enjoyable.
