ProXS Fuel Rail Diaphram??

2015 model Mercury ProXS 200. Was fishing with a friend, motor didnt want to start that morning. Chalked it up to the cold weather. Later on, it started idling a little rough, then a few minutes later died and wouldnt restart at all. Trolled back to the ramp and took it in. Theyve narrowed it down to a fuel rail diaphram, which seems likely when looking at other posts for the 200hp model. My question is are the replacements better material/craftsmanship/quality? Is this a likely problem that will occur again like Im reading in other posts or is it fixed now?Purchased new 5/4/15Bass Cat Sabre Vision EliteMercury Pro XS 150MotorGuide 75lb Tour EditionHumminbird – Stock (will be changing soon I hope)

My 2015 250 Pro XS had a fuel rail diaphragm go out right after break in (9 hours on motor). Ran down the lake let off the gas and motor died. It happens ….. they had me back on lake in 3 days. Never had a problem since on that motor or two since then.

14 250 Pro XS. Havent had that happen either. “Knock on wood”

When looking around online in other forums it seems to be fairly common. According to the dealer it did too. I was just curious if the new manufacturer maybe fixed the problem. I read where they have changed the part number. Purchased new 5/4/15Bass Cat Sabre Vision EliteMercury Pro XS 150MotorGuide 75lb Tour EditionHumminbird – Stock (will be changing soon I hope)

Replacement not any better, just a new one that works. I had one go out 3 times, last time pulled the entire rail off a used motor cause of a delay in parts. Never had problem since. 2014 250 pro. All happened before 25 hours.

yes you can replace just diaphram now.

How much does that cost out of warranty Dottie? It seems to be a recurring problem once it starts. In case they wont fix it right, or get a part or supplier that does work right. Theres no reason these should be going out like they are from what Im reading. My 13 200 proxs has 470 hrs and has never had the diaphragm replaced.
