Can anybody explain to me about the Puma FTD consoles. Ive looked at a few newer boats and there are a couple of different consoles showing up. Is the difference in the wind shields or in the actual console. Some seem to have the little small windshield like the Cougar and Eyra and some seem to have the rounded wrap around. And the confusing thing is that they are on 2012 model boats.
The new console will accept a small or large windscreen. For model years 2011 and 2012 youre probably seeing the difference in windscreens and not consoles. Though, the older console can still be chosen for an option.
There are three model groups in Bass Cat product for recent years and just like vehicles the windshield on a Taurus will not fit a Mustang. Premium GroupAdvantage groupVision groupThere are some similarities on shapes, though a windscreen on the older Cougar FTD will not fit the Advantage style consoles. These are more universal in recent years than prior. BCB
I guess I should have been a little more specific. Im looking at a 2012 used Puma FTD that has the rounded wrap around windshield. Can it be converted to the newer smaller windshield that Im seeing on some of the other new model boats.
