I got passed Saturday morning by a 921 Phoenix with a 250 merc just because I was trying to keep my coangler in the boat. My back is also a little sore today. I plan on fishing Toledo and Rayburn for a long time. What were you driving? And its all in the driver. If its all got a 250 on the back Ill take the puma.
I run a puma ftd and its a really good ride. I ran 20 miles Saturday morning on Rayburn with no problems at all.
Im in a 13 pantera II. I will push it really hard and it will fly. When I have a partner in it they have a hard time staying in their seat so I have to trim almost all the way down and just let it plow. I think it runs 1.5 to 2.5 better the faster I go its just that 3 to 4 roller thrown in there that makes it soar. I think if I had some better oh yeah handles and a way for the passenger to brace himself with his feet he would be able to handle it. But I am also planning for the future and know that my back wont take this forever.
The Puma and Cougar are the same hull design. The only difference is the deck layout. I have a new Cougar and have ridden in a Puma. The way you load one and drive one will make a difference. Thats what I have learned.

I have Kevin shorts last EYRA. He has a nice strap Ill get a pic of tommorrow for yall. For ride I wouldnt discount EYRA either. If I was a Rayburn/Toledo stud id go bravo 1 and an EYRA. Phil and Darren and rick v and Josh Sykes are a better source than me but youre hull issue is reach for that speed. If you get a jag you gonna get smoked on the 50% of days that are manageable prespawn.Last edited by clownshoes on January 25th, 2016, 1:06 am, edited 1 time in total.C.O.D. Jr. III
I disagree you NFCMF. In the hands of 75% of the drivers its a toss up between puma, cougar, eyra in rough water. Jag will get smoked. Im going with puma. A little heavier and longer. Nobody. Nobody. But I have
Older P II had a rail along the top cap. The updated P II and Sabre FTD do not sport any light bar or ss bar along the top. But they do come in handy at times96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner

The Puma is a tad bit heavier.

That is correct that these models were removed from the product line.
