IM INTERESTED IN BOTH THESE MODELS AND CANT SEEM TO MAKE A DECISION. WHICH ONES YOU CHIOCE AND WHY? LOOKING FORWARD TO HEARING OPINIONS.

The hulls are the same, so it comes down to which interior layout you like the best. I”ve been very lucky to be able to own and run both, and I have been pleased with both of them, extremely so. My current boat is the FTD, and I made that selection based on the storage layout of the front deck. I also like having two fuel tanks rather than 3. I would strongly recommend a Mercury 250 Pro XS on either hull. Mike Whitten/Germantown, TN

As Mike said the hulls are the same; the only other consideration would be the actual weight displacement difference of the location of the tanks on the Puma vs. the Cougar FTD; I have a Puma and the big single 30 gal tank is more forward with the two rear 11 gal saddle tanks; I believe the Cougar has the two tanks in the rear? Thus more weight in the rear and usually this makes the hull ride a little different ( maybe quicker) but the Puma may be slightly slower but more comfortable in rough water; but from what I have been told there is so slight of a difference it does not really matter much; it is personal preference; I like the layout of the Puma; it is each persons choice; both are phenonimal boats! Most of the pros are running the Cougar FTD I believe; Don
