They are pretty cheap but if you want to save the most start with the totally closed ones and you can drill the holes yourself progresivly larger as needed.
I have the same boat and motor.Pretty please post what your speed and rpms are when you get it.At WOT today, I ran 61.5 mph with 5750 rpms.Im also running the 25p trophy plus with 3 holes totally plugged and one with the smallest hole open.I experienced blow-out when I removed a whole plug and ran it with an empty socket.Im quite sure my jackplate is not in the optimum place and honestly dont know where it is now in relation to pad.Im having a hard time dialing my boat in….holeshot is really bad.Again, please update me on the results you get. Thanks, Ben.
I have a pantera classic with the trophy plus my jack plate is set about 1/4″ above flush and i have two plugs out i have a 200 efi 2.5L my hole shot is pretty good with top speeds around 71.5 by myself and 1/2 tank and i weigh 240 two guys my size it runs 68-69 i hope this helps i hear of people getting higher top ends i dont know how or what i am doing wrong but i turn 6000 rpms at top speed so i dont know how they do it also what is WOT i keep seeing it but im dumb to the lingo
Well, so far the only thing I can tell you is mine wont work with no plugs in it. Got the new Trophy Plus but the plugs I ordered havent come in yet. Tried running it without any plugs and I couldnt even get on plane. My old Trophy had holes in it and not blow-out ring so I thought I would at least be able to ease out of the hole but no luck. Hopefully Ill get to try again next week with the plugs. Im going to try it with 2 solid plugs and 2 open to see how that works and go from there.

I am not familiar with the Pantera / Trophy combination but I believe that a properly vented trophy will blow out as the bow breaks over on to plane with a light load , the trick is to back off of the throttle slightly before this happens and ease back into acceleration. Having the prop vented this way should help you to get on plane quicker with your livewells full . My advise is to adjust your vents toon plane loaded heavy and learn how to control; the blowout whenyou are light .Also, if you fish in an area that has a lot of grass ,make sure you run your prop with the blowout ring as you will have a very hard time getting on plane if you have a few strands of grass foulig you prop exhaust.
