Only to the registered owner in the rules. BCB
OK, now that my tournament season is pretty much over -GRRR i realized that I should have been entered into BassCats Quest program. I have a question for BCB, I fish Anglers Choice WRL Division (formerly 100% BASS – which is no longer in business) is this tournament circut recognized by BCB as a quest sponsored circut? The region I fish has averaged 100 – 115 boats or 200 – 230 anglers per tournament with a 7 tournament series. I see that Anglers Choice is listed in Quest, and so is 100% Bass – but again 100% BASS became Anglers Choice WRL as of October 2009.http://www.anglerschoice.com/wrl.htmThank you BCB – if you do recognize WRL I will definatly sign up for the quest program….darn I think I shorted myself some money this year
The Bass Cat Quest pay out is only for first place. Paying out to the highest finisher vs. a first place finish would probably cause boat prices to increase and no one wants that!
This is along one!All programs are different. At BCB we weigh out the cost of the programs verses the returns. Other companies stop gap measure have many differences. And we will get into those. Many of those promotions of our competition have also copied our rules packages and portions of our program. Today we have fielded many questions from anglers as to why Quest does not do this, or it does that differently. Though no one has acknowledged that you can put your local Tuesday Night Jackpot or Saturday “Fruit Jar” torunaments in Quest. No doubt we have the most versatile program, because you can select the events for all Bass Cat owners. Most dont go below 100 boats, though Triton changed theirs in 06 to go from 30-59, following our trend of 25-50 and 51-99 and above 100 boats participating. Also we have NO time limits on Ownership which requires you to own a 2003 or newer, a 2004 or newer, a less than three (3) year old retail boat, or some other gimmick to keep you BUYING a new boat. So this keep your resale up as all anglers can participate in Quest, currently as long they own that boat. Under todays program all BCB owners win. There is No reup charge every year. Or question of did you pay this year for your membership? Have you sent in your $XX.00 fee? There is only a one time charge of $100 for used owners and transfer of warranty on those boats. Many of the events are sponsored by those individual companies. Often they do not offer incentives on a BCB sponsored event or that of another sponsor. For example Ranger does not sanction Bass Champs in Texas, though does offer sponsorship on TTT. Skeeter does have a more open approach to sanctioned events, though they also tie it in to a Yamaha promotion as they have Yamahas on those Skeeters. And they must have a boat within three(3) years of age for Bass Champs incentives. “The Real Money program is effective January 1 – December 31, 2006. ; -Contingency payments will be awarded only to first place single overall winner of a Contingency Paying Event. Big fish awards, ties, and winners decided by chance are not eligible.;- and return this form along with the $20 Registration fee and proof of ownership” from the Skeeter promotions printed rules. Stratoss program is also tied to the age of the boat, with a 2003 and older having a lesser return than a 2004 model. “This is a calendar year program which runs from January 1, 2006 through December ,2006; – The registration fee of $29.00 can be paid by using the enrollment form online” The Stratos program does include all of their parent companies FLW events, though no BASS, Tour, Elite or Weekend series events. Also no Anglers Choice, Media Bass or other similar events. Nor does the customer get the right to sanction those events. The Stratos program is copied at Champion, its sister company (Stratos), though they also fail to give the individual the opportunity to sanction their own selected events. Again there is the entry fee and it is annual “Diamond Program $30.00(,) Diamond Marquis $75.00Cards Accepted: Visa, MC & Cash Cards” And must be paid every year. Triton has Triton Gold and they sanction FLW events and other events that are associated to Triton or its dealers. They do not again give the angler the opportunity to sanction the weekend jackpot or benefit events that they may wish to compete in. Again at a $20 fee every year. And “Must display official Triton Gold decals on your tow vehicle.(,)Must be a registered Triton Boats retail owner. “The Quest program covers virtually all of the major events, and could cover virtually all of the events that a BCB consumer would want to fish. Though we are asking a little effort in getting those events sanctioned. It is not too much to ask for the broadness of this program. We will also modify the Quest program in 2006 to include the Non Boaters in some events, though that is not final at this time. We would be glad to answer any more questions one might have in regards to why Quest is as it is, or what our intentions are. ThanksBCB
You receive a letter and quest hat for verification. You can call and verify the receipt of the form and should if you dont receive verification soon. Please do so! BCB
I believe the BASS Weekend series are Quest sanctioned ! D. T. Tournaments under automatic Quest sanction as of this printing in 2008 are: Anglers Choice Teams and Couples, American Bassfishing Club (ABC), BASS Outdoors Series, Media Bass, 100% BASS, BassMaxx, Team Trails of Mississippi, BFL events, Internet (IBBT, BFHP & BBC) Rallys designated on website, and B.A.S.S. State Federation Championships, ALL other Tournaments must be sanctioned and events are subject to change. Complete listings will be updated on the Bass Cat Quest board.Last edited by dbasketman on January 16th, 2009, 4:36 pm, edited 2 times in total.
Yes, all Anglers Choice events are sanctioned Quest, and this grandfathered the 100% Bass in there also. Gotta sign up and transfer those registrations for Quest membership. Your not the only one and you will not be the last. This season we have had more say, “but I meant to” than ever before. But we would mean to write a check for your win had you signed up and worn a hat or shirt we could see in the pic. Details, Details!
Thank you BCB – unfortunatly my Win this year was out of my buddies boat as I hit a bad obstruction and Grenaded my LU. But the BassCat is back into action for this weekend and the TOC. So quest application is on its way!
BCB, Do you have to win the tournament to get paid or just be the top finisher in a BCB ?
Who can I talk to about getting a circuit/series sanctioned?
The information is on line on the Quest Board or you can use your local dealer for a series.

These are for wins only and no top finisher status. BCB
It is intended to be a sanctioned event in the recent year, though not originally in the break up from BASS and the caustic situation that ensued. We will address that and you can accept TBF events will function under the same system as the BASS Federation Nation. We had our reasons and would still, though we should not penalize those unattached to the political undertow.
Thanks, the TBF state tourney pulls about twice as many boats as the Federation Nation does here in Ms. The first Federation Nation clubs didnt advertise this as it gave them a better chance to make it to the regionals, but they couldnt keep it secret forever.
