Question about Flashers? Where?

On my 99 cougar I have a flasher that has a ring around it that keeps it held to the console. I guess the plastic dry rotted, so now the flasher is hanging down. BassCat does not have the flashers for sale. Does anyone know where I can find one? I would be fine just buying a new flasher. If I type in “flasher” on google, I dont get much info.

Im quite sure you got some very interesting search results if you typed “flasher” into google. Seriously, try Sams advice and Id also check on ebay. The options are the 1440 Lowrance or the Vexilar. We have one 1240a left out of the box new. You may have a Zercom RTS on a Cougar.

I have a teleflex on it. So if I go to a Lowrance or other, I assume I can not use existing cable (plug) that has the transducer and temp guage on?

Which unit is it? The TFXID? Straight graph style with an on and off knob? BCB

It does not have any knobs on it. It has power on/off/light centered on bottom. All buttons are like bubbled up (sort of flat). Sorry I do not have my boat to look at. The motor blew up for the second time and is in the shop! Thanks. I was thinking the only reason I even use it is for water temp, because my sonar puck is in hull. But I do like the lowrance LST 3800. It shows the digital depth and temp. If it could network with my NMEA 2000 Lowrance network and then maybe I could install a new temp gauge wire in the same location as the teleflex??? Who know?

TFX40ID You could do what you mention also, though hte hole will be a different size. BCB
