I just bought an 08 Cougar FTD. Its the most radical ,coolest, gadget infested monster Ive ever owned. Its still a little over whelming. Im going to start with a statment and one DUMB question. Yall can go ahead and laugh real hard . After an all day fishing trip in the rain, I would come home, open up all the comparments to air them out heading off that chance of mold or mildew infestation and of course the smell. In this boat a light or lights come on in every compartment when it is opened, even without the power switch on. Without unplugging each individual light or disconnecting the battery, Is there something simple I can do so that they will come on only when the power switch is on?

I thought about that with my first Cat. The lights do go off after a short time(especially in my head). It is a kind of courtesy deal, where you can get to your gear or air out the compartments after a day of rain. The lights will reset when all compartments are closed again.
