Question about live well switch

My 08 cougar has the empty/ auto switch below the key start. When I run the boat with the switch in the auto for 10-15 min the live well begins to fill with water, is this normal or is there something wrong with the switch. The pump in switch also is in the off position when this occurs.

Slackey, Run it in “empty” position until youre ready to add water to your livewells. Auto postition should be opening the valve to let water in the through-hull fitting. Hope that cures everything for you John Helms Hot Springs, ARJohn Helms Hot Springs, AR

Thanks for the info, new to the Bass Cat/ Bass Boat. Enjoying every minute of the Cougar, as i go.
