Last year, I bought a 1999 classic with 150 mercury efi. It has a 23p 4 blade trophy prop. The boat is sluggish out the hole, especially when the live well is full. Sometimes I have to get my partner on the front deck for it to break over and get on plane. Also, the boat only tops out at 5,100 to 5,200 rpms at 54mph. Motor has great compression and runs good. Is it just underpowered and in need of a 200, or should I try a different prop?
