I have a question about recent hull changes in the BassCat line of boats. Im looking at buying a BassCat boat so I have a ton of questions. I think there were some recent hull changes but dont remember which year and models. Looking at the following 4 models? PII PIV Cougar Puma Im probably looking at 08 models but I would not rule out an 07 that has been babied with low hours on the motor. If and when did these hulls change and what changed about them. Thanks, skip

PII – Has the same hull since it was introduced in 2007 PIV – Has the same hull since introduced Cougar – The Advantage Elite models in 2008 were the original 20 hull, and the 2009 models are the newer hull. Puma – There was the orignal hull from 2005 through 2007. Along that time there was a Wide Body hull for the Verado engines and such with more rear buoyancy. Then in 2008 it went to the Euro Hull, which was enhanced in 2009 and made to accommodate the Cougar ADvantage Elite models.

Basketboy you need to go pull that history book of catalogs out. In 07 all the 20s were the same…in 08 the Cougar FTD was redesigned and it and the Puma got a new hull….the 08 Cougar Advantage Elite then used the same hull as the 07s and it is the same boat as the 07 Cougar FTD. In 09 all 20s had the same hull…all 4 of them. The rest of it you were dead old old man Judd Lasiter

The 08 Cougar Advanatge Elite is the same as a 2007 Cougar FTD accept the console. I am sure some will disagree a little i love the new euro hulls but ill still put the original up with it when it comes to ride and speed. I been in a new Puma FTD and couldnt tell alot of difference in performance so both are great choices.
