I own a 2013 Margay. Yesterday I noticed the ” U ” bolt at the bow was very loose. My question is, how do I get to the nuts on the inside. I removed the plate that the T/M cable comes through & I still can not reach the bolt.I had a look up through the rod locker & I could not see the bolt that way either.I have tightened the lock nuts on the outside but I am concerned about the condition of the nuts & bolt on the inside.Also I am wondering if it is normal for the bow to rise about 2 inches when the winch strap is released. Appears to be a lot of pull down tension.Can someone please help.P.S. I live in Australia.

The Margay does pop up when released on the 3″ frame when it flexes, that is normal. This should not be as noticeable when launching as the buoyancy of water on the transom floats the rear and reduces frame flex. The bow eye is probably loose from outside only and the nuts should have red permanent LokTite on them. If they do not have red LokTite then apply some and tighten them. If you have to access that area the front trolling motor panel is your only area, port side of trolling motor pedal. The other option is a screw in access port to cover a hole, which we do to mount a RAM on some applications. Hope you enjoy the rig and it serves you well. BCB

Thanks for the speedy reply.Absolutely love the boat. Would love to buy a faster one.Hoping to travel to the states next year, may be a good time to have a look.Cheers guy`s.
