My tempress fold down seat will not stay closed. It appears that the red release button might be broken as it does not lock in place. Is there any way to fix this? I think the seat was attempted to be opened without pushing the red release button.Tim

That is apparently what has happened as many people are not aware there is a latch and they force it open thinking it is stuck. We dont think there is a “fix” for it other than a seat replacement, or placement of an added strap and snap which is probably the best option. Odds are your fishing partner or whomever did this will cross that bridge again and you will have another replacement potentially. Replacement I take it would mean replacing the entire seat am I correct. If that is that case I might just leave it the way it is.

On a new (less than a year) boat would this be a warranty item? And could you just replace the frame and reuse the skins? Larry Brumley

The boat is about a month old, and it was a siple mistake of the person trying to open the seat and not being familar with the process. I was not looking for it to be covered under warranty as it was not a defect with the product, more a defect with the individuals brain at the time.

You are correct Ward, id still call Simon or Pete in parts and explain what was done, maybe they have a frame for you that can be bought at a discount, or they may do some of that BCB Magic!!!!! Good Luck, Brannon
