Question for BCB Battery Size Set Up

We suggest 3-27 Series on trolling batteries. Unless your Iaconelli, KVD or Skeet Reese who throttle down all day they are plenty of reserve capacity. On the cranking battery Bass Cat has suggested a heavy 31 Series AGM battery for almost 20 years. Get the heaviest battery you can for maximum plate capacity. Batteries are simple, a heavier 24 is better than a lighter 31 series. Too much emphasis is placed on trolling batteries and the size, while not enough is placed on the quality and weight. We have not seen trolling batteries be an issue other than failed chargers and neglect. In that case the battery size doesn’t matter, it still doesn’t work. Cranking batteries are under parasitic load as well as use and demand during fishing hours. BCB
