Its an easy fix, if you have a rivet puller/squeezer, drill, and a punch. Call BCB and they can send you the proper rivets (this is a must!). Pull the rub rail insert out in the area of the loose rivet. Drill off the HEAD OF THE RIVET ONLY!(use a drill bit very slightly larger than the rivet shaft diameter and drill lightly they are aluminum) You will probably need to hold the shaft of the rivet between the rubrail and hull with small needle nose pliers to keep the rivet from spinning while drilling. Then using a punch, with a smaller diameter than the rivet shaft, lightly tap it through and it will fall into the hull. Make sure you have the proper rivet puller/squeezer, I prefer pnuematic. Put silicone in rivet hole and insert rivet and squeeze/pull it with the gun while pressing firmly. The stem of the rivet will “pop”(hence the term pop rivet) out and set the rivet in place. Move to the next. Pop the rubrail in and youre done. Sounds like alot but each rivet only takes two minutes. If you are not comfortable doing it, any aircraft (me) or sheet metal mechanic should be able to knock it out, quickly. If you were near South Florida Id fix you up free of charge, I even have some left over rivets from my 2005 Puma. Visiting Okeechobee soon?? JayLaw is in Jersey (he likes it there!!) and can do it as well.Hope this helps!!
