Question for BCB ref Hbird GPS Antenna placement

Where does BCB mount or recommend mounting the GPS puck antenna on the bow of a sabre FTD. I recently bought one for the 787 on the bow of my 08 sabre FTD

I am running dual 797s, mine was installed in the back.(first pic) The bottom pic is of Tom Hallbergs Sabre. Check middle right on pic.

Im not an expert by any means so Im just saying….if you are networking the two units then they can share an antennae. If you do a lot of drop-shotting or jigging a spoon and want to know your exact position so you can stay on it then you can mount the antennae beside the trolling motor. Dont some units come with the antenna built in nowdays or do all still have the puck??

The HB antenna on my Cougar, is mounted on the bow, I think it came that way from the factory. You can get some units with the built in antenna. I know a few years ago, there was some debate about the ones with the built in antennas holding the signal on the bow units as they are usually tilted almost flat so you can see the screen. I dont know if thats still an issue or not. Ive never had one with a built in antenna.

Thanks guys. My boat came with the antenna on the rear for the console unit. I decided to go with a separate antenna for the bow instead of networking the two units, I want an accurate position of the front of the boat instead of having the antenna 18 feet away from the actually cover or structure I am seeing on the sonar. After seeing these pictures I think I have an idea of where I will put the antenna.

Thanks BCB. Im still just learning things myself….some by trial and error and a lot from this board.
