Im having trouble trying to figure out how the bracket for the fold down back of the center seat gos.I bought my P3with the new buckets already installed, however the back of the center seat was put in incorrectly,it wont fold down.I do have the 2 hinge backet to mount it just cant seem to get it in the correct position for mounting it right.Any help would be appreciated.
I am working tonight. Tommorrow when I wake up I will post you a good pic with explanation. That will help you more than just me trying to explain it. Ill post as soon as I wake up from the graveyard shift. Chris Coupel Paulina, La.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.
I hope this helps you out a little!! Installing the middle seat bottom first helped me with alligning the seat back and figuring the hinge height out.It will also help in centering the driver and passenger seats properly. Once the bottom is installed you can lay the seat back on top of it like this. Then if you hold it in place with a steady hand you can raise it up and mark where your screw holes will go in for the hinge. This next one is a picture of how the Hinge will look when you raise the seat back up. This is when you would mark your screw holes and drill them out. These are just a couple of others to show you how the hinge moves and its position at different seat positions. Hopefully this shows you how the hinge should be free to move around. When you mount the hinge it should be in the fully extended down mode like in the 3rd picture. The only way to get the correct mounting height will be to mount the seat bottom first, or atleast put it in place and lay the seat back in the down postion on top of it. Shap, A HUGE THANK YOU! Especially for the detailed pictures this answers my question.Just couldnt get the hinge position right. No problem now. Like I had said the previous owner had installed the new seats and did a great job however he installed the back part of the center seat incorrectly so it was useless as a step. Thanks Again!
