i just switched from a 24 tempest+ to a fury. i have a 99 cougar with 200 99 2.5L EFI merc running a barely used 24 fury B&Bed with a little cup added by mark croxton. this weekend at sam rayburn with a full load, 4 batteries, and 430lbs of me and dad, i was consistently running 65.6 with half a tank of gas. Got down to about an eighth tank and ran 66.4, all with great holeshot, great lift, good water pressure(16lb), and around 5900rpm. i believe motors at about 4 1/4 below pad my question is should i raise it any or leave it alone for a heavy loaded boat with a small block?

We would try lowering it first, and it may not change much. If not we would raise it back where it was and leave it alone. You are pretty close for that little engine. BCB

by lowering it slightly should i expect to have even more lift and higher speed? BCB im not sure which of you get on here and post and what not, but my father Bruce Stroud has been dealing with Bobby Lee for the past several months buying new seats, steering wheel, windshield, etc he has been great to work with and once again shows BCBs great customer service. Bobby asked Bruce to send him some pictures after installing the new seats, this is the only one i have right now as the new rear seat was sent back to be modified, ill get more pictures posted when the rear seat is sent back. here she is
