I have a 19 1994 PII with a 1997 200HP Mag EFI Mariner and tandem axle trailer with numerous upgrades and depth finders. I just threw a rod through my block and out through my reed valve assembly. I love the boat and its in great shape other than being old etc. I was looking in to getting a new motor, used motor, rebuilt power head or just selling as is and buying something used. If I buy one used Id like it to be at least 19 with at least a 200HP. I am wanting to stay under 18K. I am sure many of you that have owned boats have blown a motor. What did you do? And do you think it was the right decision? Thanks in advance for any insight. I am located on Lake Sam Rayburn, Texas.Thanks again,Scott

if your boat is on outstanding shape, i would get new motor! or at least reman engine assembly

Its in solid shape, just got new seats and garage kept it since but now it needs carpet and attention to the gel coat etc. From the for sale forum I wrote:Thanks for the insight. I like my PII 94 but its old. If I could find a newer one with the same HP and Length for a few more thousand than a new motor I think it would be the right decision. What about my boat for resale. Its gotta be hard to sell a boat with a blown motor I am sure. Should you just price the boat/trailer then add core fee for the engine? Have any of you experienced selling a boat with a blown motor?

You can turn those with blown engines.
