Racing Top Cap Molds

When I was there the other day I noticed a trailer and a couple molds that looked to me like they were used to make racing boat top caps with a cockpit and cowl that went back to an outboard motor. I searched the internet but can not find anything about Bass Cat Racing in that class of boat. Am I correct? If so, how about some history please?

I’m thinking something like in the pic.

They were not racers in those leagues. They did build a boat to run the ABPA drags in the early 1980’s at Nick a’ Jack and won two national records. The records were expunged each year then and new records established each season.

The only thing you could have seen was a top cover for bass boats that we have out there. Thee is also a trailer with a cover installed on it.

Wish I took a picture. No way it was a top cap for a bass boat. Maybe for the drag boat.

It looked like it would make a top cap something like in this pic.
