Radio install not so simple on 2012 Eyra

After looking at Flyswatters post I decided it was time for radio in my 2012 Eyra. His install is sweet and simple. Not so simple with 2012 Eyra– WTF. Have pump out-security control panel installed where radio would go in console. Thought maybe move pump out-security control panel to right side of boat- forward of shifter. Radio bezel will not cover 3″ hole from pump out-security panel. Only two options-Lowrance Sonic Hub (371.00) or Kenwood wired ( 100.00) remote installed in console for Kenwood radio. Why did BCB do this??

Get the sonic hub. Best radio system hands down.

I had a wired remote for the Sony on my PIV and worked real well. Its center of my PIV console next to my 997.

If you do get a wired remote make sure you check the specs and dimensions as They are all different. True specs will be on manufacturers website Most of the time

Or you can do like I did. I had my dealer install and we moved the pump in/pump out control over by my master power swicth. Then we put the radion in that spot. works just fine. I would have your dealer do it for sure!

On my Eyras , the pump in/out was up higher where one of your gauges are. I guess they had to put it there becuase all the other spaces had gauges.

Well, thanks for all the comments and suggestions. Yes, I had an extra gauge installed in dash, jackplate position. Maybe that occupied the spot for pump out/security panel. Am lookin at all options, wired remote and sonic hub. Am checking dimensions on everything and might move the pump out/security panel forward of shifter. Doesnt look like there are any radios that have height dimension to cover that hole. I can make 18 gauge SS adapter for radio bezel at work, no problem. Trying to economize a little on this project cuz I really want to display Mercury data on Lowrance and it looks like that is gonna be expensive. Anybody round here displaying there Merc data on Lowrance??? Would like Merc info displayed cuz of thermostat issues in dirty water. I fish dirty water in cold weather!!! I can do this all myself, I installed Lowrance network-structure scan and 2 Lowrance units in my last boat-no problem. Thought the radio issue was simple till I took a closer look.

Why is it gonna cost so much to display the Mercury info on the Lowrance?
