Cabelas GuideWear is nice, so are the BPS 100mph suits. My GuideWear suit doesnt have the lining as here in Texas it really doesnt get that cold, and if it does, Im staying home.Prefer to dress in layers also.
Cabelas guide wear is excellent if you layer under. Bibs keep wind out and all warm with long john/ Jean combo under (down to 20s). I prefer the bcb jacket ( more comfortable), it does great also. Not sure bout the bcb bibs, mine are bigger than like so never wore them.
I have the cabelas guidewear. Keeps you dry but i havent got to wear it in cold weather yet. My only complaint is the first jacket i had the inner sleeve came unsewed the forst time i wore it. Returned to cabelas and got a new one so far so good. I would have bought the 100mph suit because of the liner but the guidewear was on sale at the time
What ever you buy make sure it has the gore-tex label. I bought a Cabelas Guide Wear bibs and jacket about 10 years ago. The jacket developed a leak and I thought Id be out the price of a new rain suit. I went on line to the gore-tex web site and fount that they can repair leaks in some cases. I sent the suit to them and they called about a week later and advised that it was not repairable. They also told me to give them my size and color requirements and they would replace it free of charge. I told them that I had already bought a BPS suit that was on sale. They asked me to send them the receipt and they would reimburse me. They did, including taxes!!!Buy Gore-Tex for its comfort and warranty.
