Ram or not to ram ?

Something I did not talk about when I ordered my boat is a Ram mount on the front graph. What are the pros and cons of a Ram mount on the bow ? HB 958 on an Eyra . Is the graph still easily removed without a Ram mount ?Last edited by kb3024 on May 25th, 2011, 12:07 am, edited 1 time in total.

Ive ram mounted my last 3, much easier to remove for theft prevention and weather, plus you can move it for better views. Mike

Theyre easily removed without Ram. Personal preference whether to Ram or not Ram. Ive never used a Ram as I dont feel like always adjusting it. And yes it will move around in rough water. Those I see that have Rams where i fish when the water gets rough, they lower the unit to the floor of the boat? I guess theres concerns or taking one over and knocking it off? Again, I would guess personal preference here.

Just ram mounted my HDS 5 at the bow on my P3. I love the adjustability. It is however a matter of preference.
