Not sure “keel rollers“ would be the right term but do any of you have a remedy for silencing these rollers? They are making an awful rattle sound every time the trailer goes over any kind of bump.

There is a ton of play between the roller and whatever rod runs through it.

You can take a shot hammer (plastic sand mallet) and tap the wings in against the roller cap to tension them. They should just squeeze in there loaded with tension and we are pretty sure they are just shifted.

I wrapped a bungee cord around both of the keel rollers and problem solved.

Guys, these are a 5/8” Rod with tap on caps and 3/16” steel wings, and these slide through 3/4” stamped holes in that steel. The wings should be tapped for a fit and they will rattle possibly on rough roads if the tension is not retained. That tension is from Slightly bending the wings. Year model has nothing to do with it other than they can have more time to vibrate loose and open the gap.
