Our local lakes are finally getting what they have needed for many years. Our lakes are getting stocked with Northern Strain LM on Wednesday coming up from Texas, only about 210,000 of them (thank you Texas). UAAF ordered and purchased 45,000 Florida strain LM and theyll get here around June 1st. Plus an additional 2400 Smallies that should be here around the 1st as well. This is awesome news and should help with the efforts to get our lakes where they once were a few years ago. More news to come……DESERTDWELLER.COM “GET YOUR BASS IN THE BOAT”

That sounds great cactus chaser. Give it some time and youll have a nice place to fish. We are still having all kinds of bad storms back here. Lots of tornados. Maybe Ill go back to the desert, too. Im really getting tired of this stuff. I like flying a powered parachute, but its a little hard when the wind blows 100+ mph. I always liked the desert, and flying is easy there. And, if the lakes get back like that, it could really be a nice place to be. Take care. Jim and Annie

The weather is great here, is was a beautiful 98 degree spring day with only 30 percent humidity. The fish are biting from what I have heard, since I have not fished since the OI. Hope to get out soon.DESERTDWELLER.COM “GET YOUR BASS IN THE BOAT”

I saw something on the tube once that said that all bass grow at the same rate and fish in general never stop growing. They also said that the florida strain get bigger only because they live longer. I dunno if this is true and is contrary to what I have heard around the coffee shop. Does anyone on here know? Thanks and just curious. -Lee

I know that not to be true South of the border. From my experience down there the first few years of a bass they were growing at a rate of 3 to 4 pounds a year. Those are sick numbers but very true. It all depends on forage (quantity and type) compaired to bass population and pressure put on a lake from those that do not practice catch and reliese.DESERTDWELLER.COM “GET YOUR BASS IN THE BOAT”
