Im going to look at a 2005 Puma dual console that is for sale, and want to make sure the passenger console can be removed before I purchase. I think it will. Am I right? Thanks
Yes, on an 05 model it can be removed. It wont be a easy job though and will leave holes from the console. Im a single console guy and when I bought my 05 cougar that was a concern of mine because it also had dual console but after using the boat for about 6 months now I like the dual and I know my partner does.

If I hadnt of had the dual console my fishing partner would have taken a duck to the face … any one have any tips for tightening the windsheld screws after that? My only complaint for the dual console is the amount of stuff you can loose in it.. That glove box holds a truck load, you might like it after you get it.
Thanks for the replies, Im going to try the extra console for awhile and see how I like it. It definitely has advantages, but for 29 years its been single only and will take some getting use to.
If you do decide to remove the console there are 5 bolts that hold it in place. Youll have to pull the carpet back to get to the bolt heads. After the console is removed youll have to clean up the urethane residue that remains and this will be the hardest part of the removal … lots of elbow grease required. As far as tightening the windshield after a close encounter with a duck … he likely wallowed the holes out and it would be our suggestion to use a resin or epoxy to tighten those holes and reinsert the screws holding the windshield in place. GaMtLamar, did you buy the boat? Is that Scott Gardners boat? If so, it sure is a good looking rig. I wish I could have pulled the trigger on it.
