Replacing Battery Charger

I have an 01 Sabre, and Im in the process of replacing the original on-board charger. The original charger is a MotorGuide 3-bank, and Im swapping it out with a Noco 3-bank charger.Upon removing the old charger, Ive found a wire that appears to run from the old charger to the front of the boat. Im assuming that this wire connects the charger to the voltmeter located near the trolling motor?The Noco charger doesnt have a way to connect to the voltmeter. Is my voltmeter essentially useless at this point, or is there a way I can connect it to the new charger. Also – how thick is the transom on BCBs? Im really paranoid about running screws into it.Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It is about 1 3/4″ thick and you can see the thickness from top of transom. You will loose the functions unless you use a matching charger set up. Motorguide was built by the former company that builds NOCO. They should look the same and use the same mount.
