I just recently purchased new domed decals for my Sabre. I was wondering if anyone knows is it ok to use the soap and water method when replacing. Or is there a better way? I just want to get them as close to the orignal as possible. Thanks
no dont use the soap & water trick use a good eyeyou only get 1 try with the domed decals. very good stickum on them.just ust a good eye or use some mask tape to mark the borders of old decal to line up with
I have installed graphics on Motocross bikes and trailers for years……I just had to put new Domed decals on my Puma FTD after they blew off on my first couple of trips out…I have always used windex with no issues….Make sure you clean the area really well with Acetone and spray just enough windex in the area to dampen…. I lay out the decal measurements with a grease pencil to make sure everything is square and level…You can use painters tape also…I use a plastic putty knife to work out the windex and any bubbles once I have the decal in the right position…Sometimes I will hit it with a hair dryer on the low setting to help speed up the drying process and make the graphic a little easier to work with…
