replacing foam in the tool holder

Is there an aftermarket replacement for the foam in the tool holders? I looked in the BCB store w/ no joy. Would weather stripping from Lowe’s work or is it a specific type of foam I should be looking for?

I haven’t looked into replacing mine yet but there are things not listed on the basscat store that you could call and talk to parts department and they may have it. Also I do believe that there has been some people finding them at your local home improvement stores. Good luck as I will follow this as well so I can replace mine.

I should have called when I placed my Christmas order but I did it all on line. Is it something I can find locally that will work as a replacement?

There probably are foams that will work. Though our we had to struggle to find the right texture and thickness. The factory staff did change foam without input and some models have thicker foams. We doubt you will find one with enough hardness locally in small volume.

Also the reason we didn’t go magnetic strip is stainless and plastic tools many have. It doesn’t hold harder files well either.

I called and spoke w/ parts department. I was told that I couldn’t purchase replacement foam separately and would have to purchase a complete tool holder face plate and foam set. I’ll look for a suitable replacement locally. If I can’t find something that works then I may call back to order next time the shipping specials are active.
