Replacing the seals on my trailer!!

Shawn, We thought there was some information on bearing packing in the FAQ section. If not it is a simple process. Just dont tighten the front nut excessively, actually just snug, lightly snug the nut. No real pressure on the bearings at all just tension them so the dont have float room.

I never assemble with a dry rubber seal. I always coat the rubber with lube (I did not catch this in the instruction that I read). Some seals are precoated with a gasket sealer. Seals that are not precoated with sealant I put a thin coating of OMC gasket sealer (brown monkey snot) on them. It seals them and keeps them in place. I have seen more than once a seal that popped out.
