A while back when loading I caught the bow just in front of the eye in that little gap in the roller and it left me with a very narrow, but rough scrape. It just about made me sick. Few people will ever notice it, however I know it is there. I have decided to maybe get one of those no gap rollers and then maybe add some type of guard to insure this will not happen again. My question, how does opinion run on what product would be best to use or does anyone have a better idea. http://www.keelguard.com/sbproducts.html (Bow guard XL – Dont need the width, but the other alternative they offer is about a 1/2 inch to short, length wise. I am concerned that due to the width it might not mold well to the area or the steel might cut the roller. ) http://shop.keelshield.co…ath=11&products_id=32 (You can get just a 12″ inch section, which might be ideal, I just wonder if the rubber hitting the rubber roller, would grab to much.) Another alternative is just to use some type of marine tex or something else on the cut and with the no gap roller, it ought not occur again. I want to do this right and only do it once. Whats the thought?
